Sci-Fi themed dance show in a truck tours Greek Islands
The Greek National Opera Ballet is launching an unconventional summer tour on Friday, taking a futuristic dance performance staged entirely inside a 15-meter truck to islands and towns across the country. The show, titled "Future Cargo," will travel from July 4 to 27 to the Cycladic islands of Paros, Naxos, and Syros, as well as to several cities in the Peloponnese, including Kalamata and Ancient Olympia. Created by choreographers Frauke Requardt and David Rosenberg, the 50-minute performance offers a unique spectacle designed for public squares and parks. Dancers perform on a moving conveyor belt inside the truck's transparent container, while the audience, wearing headphones, is immersed in a surreal, sci-fi narrative through a rich soundscape.
