Short-term rentals in Greece, including platforms like Airbnb, Booking and Expedia, are enjoying a record-breaking year, with demand and supply soaring well above pre-pandemic levels. According to data from the Institute of the Greek Tourism Confederation (INSETE), more than 240,000 properties were available for short-term rental in June 2025 - an 8% increase compared to last year. This marks the highest figure recorded since January 2019, following back-to-back monthly records in May and June. The number of available beds exceeded the symbolic one million mark as early as April - three months earlier than in 2024. In April, beds reached 1.008 million, rising to 1.038 million in May and 1.061 million in June. The previous record was set in August 2024 at 1.023 million.
