Greek Economy and Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis broke down the tax breaks announced two days earlier by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his state-of-the-economy address in Thessaloniki, with the ministry on Monday publishing the new tax scales - effective as of 2026 - along with examples. According to Pierrakakis and the ministry, the entire tax break package is worth 2.7 billion euros for 2026, of which 925 million euros relates to the cost of measures that have been announced and 1.76 billion euros for new measures.
