In celebration of its 80th anniversary, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched a new regional initiative to recognize the dedication, innovation, and leadership of young farmers across Europe and Central Asia. The "FAO REU Recognition of Young Farmers in Europe and Central Asia" is welcoming applications from individuals and youth-led agricultural organizations working to build more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems. The deadline to apply is August 12, 2025. Organized by FAO's Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, the initiative focuses on highlighting the achievements of young farmers aged 18 to 35 who are nationals and residents of countries in the region.
