Aspropyrgos: 17 arrests after the "hail" of gunfire between Roma and Greeks repatriated from the former Soviet Union
A joint operation by the Attica Crime Investigation and Prosecution Directorate and police in Nea Zoi, Aspropyrgos, has been underway since the early hours of today. So far, 17 people have been arrested for various offenses. The operation is a continuation of the incident that occurred yesterday (6/8) in the area, when a violent clash broke out between young Roma and Greeks from the former Soviet Union, with an exchange of gunfire. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon in the "Nea Zoi" camp, when four Roma, riding in a private vehicle, chased a car in which the young expatriates were. According to the information so far, an intense altercation and conflict between the two groups followed.
