Makis Voridis and family attacked by hooded persons while dining with family
An attack on New Democracy MP and former Minister Makis Voridis took place on Saturday night in a restaurant in Heraklion, Crete, when about 25 people wearing hoods and helmets began throwing eggs at him, cursing him and chanting slogans against him. In one of the videos posted on social media after the attack on Makis Voridis, it appears that the riots caused material damage to the restaurant. Broken bottles, plates, glasses, tables on the floor and much more were left in their wake at the restaurant in Heraklion. In his statement, Mr. Voridis speaks of "far-left hooligans" who attacked him "unprovoked" in the restaurant. "I know them and I am not surprised or scared by their vile practices! I have lived like this my entire life.
