The Board of Directors of the Cyprus Centre of the International Theatre Institute (CCOITI) unanimously decided, at its Meeting on 19 May 2025, to renew the appointment of theatrologist Christos Georgiou as Director of the Centre for a further three-year term. This fifth consecutive term will commence on October 1, 2025, and conclude on September 30, 2028. Christos Georgiou is a theatrologist, graduate of the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, holding a Master's degree in Theatre Studies from the Open University of Cyprus. His extensive experience focuses primarily on cultural management and international cultural cooperation, while he is also actively engaged in theatre education and theatre research.
